The Faculty is a unique learning and professional development opportunity for artists and creatives.
The aim is to nurture a network artists who live and work in the North of England who make work with, for, or about communities. The intensive six-month programme of support is being delivered by In-Situ and Chrissie Tiller.
The Faculty will take participants on a¬†series of¬†residential weekends, online distance learning tutorials, seminars, discussions and assignments.
In total 24 people from different vocational backgrounds including social work, event management and teaching ‚Äď as well as full time artists, film-makers, gallery curators, photographers, dancers and singers – have been selected to create a diverse and multi-disciplinary group. Each artist will develop or realise their own personal project.
Six practitioners from Kirklees have been selected by Creative Scene to participate in the Northern Faulty of Socially Engaged Art.
