People Powered is a brand-new project for Creative Scene where artists work closely with communities to create something truly unique. As part of the project, we have commissioned four artists Shy Burhan, Izzy Brittain, Rachael Norton and Monika Dutta to work with local communities across Dewsbury – in Chickenley, Earls Heaton, Dewsbury Moor, Westtown and Westborough. Together they will decide what they want to create, what stories they want to tell and how they want to share their work once its complete.
