Creative Scene is committed to ensuring that your privacy is protected. Should we ask you to provide certain information by which you can be identified when using this website, then you can be assured that it will only be used in accordance with this privacy statement.

What we collect

We may collect the following information:

  • contact information including email address, postal address and mobile number;
  • demographic information such as postcode, preferences and interests;
  • other information relevant to customer surveys and/or offers.

  • to keep accurate and safe records about your transactions;

where and how we will store your data

If you have said yes to receiving communication from us, your information will be uploaded and stored in our email marketing software Mailchimp account so we can contact you directly, which is fully GDPR compliant.

In addition, if you consent to us keeping you up to date with activity and events via a paper form / survey, this will be stored securely on Brigantia Creative premises; if you consent via Ticketsource, SurveyMonkey or Jotform, your information will also be stored in our account on that website; and if you consent via website, Mailchimp or social media, this information will go directly to Mailchimp.

Responses to paper surveys / sign-up forms are data-processed and stored in an excel file on a secure server in password-protected files. All original paper surveys / forms are stored securely on Brigantia Creative premises, and will be destroyed after 8 years unless the data is required for a longer period. Information provided will only be used for purposes stated at the time of collecting data.

All personal information is processed and stored securely in accordance to your preferences.

If you have opted to receive information from us, the information will be used for the purpose of contacting you about our news and upcoming events. If you have not said yes to receiving information, we may contact you with information communications specifically about your visit, for example if a show is cancelled.

Demographic information such as postcode, preferences and interests, as well as any responses and feedback to events on surveys such as quotes about what you liked best; may be used in internal and external reports and publications. This information provided will always remain anonymous.

When purchasing tickets online, you will be asked to consent to receive information from Creative Scene and/or from our ticketing provider TicketSource. We may ask in addition, if you would like to hear from a partnership organisation (for example, Opera North). If you consent, your personal data will then be passed on to the third party company. Your data can only be passed securely on to the company you have opted to receive information from.

When completing a survey or sign up form, you will be asked to consent to receive information from Creative Scene, Brigantia Creative and/or other third party named partner organisations. If you consent to hear from the other third party named partner organisation, your personal data will then be passed on to the third party company. Your data can only be passed securely on to the company you have opted to receive information from. If you do not consent to hear from the company, contact information will not be shared with the other third party named partner organisation, but anonymous demographic information such as postcode, preferences and interests, as well as specific survey responses, may be shared with other named third party partner organisation, as will be detailed on the survey / form for the reasons of helping us to further develop our products, experience and offer.

Creative Scene may hold your personal data or contact you for legitimate interests. Legitimate interests are those which the individual would reasonably expect and which have a minimal privacy impact, or where there is a compelling justification for the processing. Creative Scene understands the responsibility to protect the individual’s interests, information is stored and processed securely and will not be used in ways the individual would find intrusive or cause harm. Legitimate interests include updating stakeholders about news and opportunities we have identified as relevant to them.

Individuals have the right to request to be forgotten. When this request is made we will remove all personal data from our records permanently.
