Join us for a fusion of folk dance and music traditions from around the globe.
As part of the 31st Cleckheaton Folk Festival, we have programmed a series of outdoor performances in Savoy Square and the pedestrian precinct, off Cheapside, near Central Arcade at various times between 12 noon and 4pm on 7 July.
Featuring:
Folk Dance Remixed – a collision of traditional folk and Hip Hop dance and music (pictured above)
Jaardu – a colourful caricature of an imaginary Indian magician
Anjaana – a four piece Punjabi Folk Band
Punjabi Roots Academy in association with Annapurna– Punjabi Folk Dance group
Chicks on Sticks Spanish Flamenco Stiltwalkers
Urban Angels & Heritage Corner Circus performance celebrating the life of Britain’s first black circus owner
The people of Cleckheaton Local community groups will perform live during the day
