Creative Scene’s BANK network present Curiosity

An exhibition celebrating the freedom to be expressive and committing to creativity. Featuring mosaics, hand-tufted rugs and clay sculpture, wood carvings, self-portraits and textile work.

Over the past year throughout lockdowns, the BANK collective of Kirklees artists committed to being creative.

They came together over Zoom each week, to create a small piece of art, explore new mediums and experiment with different techniques, coupled with the freedom to be expressive and creative.

This exhibition is a celebration of that process. From kaleidoscopic mosaics and self-portraits looking at fragmented identity to textiles deconstructing family, visitors will be taken on a journey through changing perspectives, connection, mental health and motherhood.

The artists featured are Abigail Barker, Andrew Warburton, Ella Horner, Harriet Lawson, Karen Stansfield, Louisa Parry and Pauline Leitch.

Join us for the official opening on Wednesday 23 March at 6pm. To let us know you’re coming email karen@creativescene.org.uk.
