The Gift for Winter are free creative packs, featuring creative activities, quizzes, puzzles and festive games.

Kirklees artists Catherine Traveller, Carly Gledhill, Rik Thorpe and Lauren Lister have created The Gift for Winter. Inspired by the heritage, people and towns of North Kirklees, The Gift for Winter is designed to keep families and older people cosy and creative over the cold winter months.

If COVID restrictions allow, Catherine, Carly, Rik, Lauren and Creative Scene staff will be distributing the free packs in Dewsbury Market just in time for Christmas on 19th December and popping up in parks, town squares and high streets throughout the festive period – keep an eye on our social media channels for more details.

This is the second version of The Gift; the first iteration was created over the summer by artists Lizzie Hobbs and Sarah-Jane Mason.
