A CULTURAL CHANGE LED BY COMMUNITY GROUP LEADERS AND EVENT ORGANISERS.

At the third meet up of The Creativity Connection, we will hear from some of our members about their experiences delivering creative projects with a heritage focus.

We are exploring the broad meaning of heritage: “features belonging to the culture of a particular society, such as traditions, languages, or buildings, that were created in the past and still have historical importance”.

There will be time for friendly discussion about heritage in the towns of North Kirklees and the chance for members to discuss ideas they have for future events and projects celebrating heritage.

WHAT IS THE CREATIVITY CONNECTION?

The Creativity Connection is a free, new monthly forum for community groups, voluntary groups and third sector organisations, in or working in, North Kirklees.

Hosted monthly on Zoom by Creative Scene’s Chair Kimberley Thirkill, we’ll share practical tips – how to raise funds, find volunteers, plan an event – as well as make time for conversations about how we want the arts to develop in our towns and neighbourhoods, and what we need to make creativity thrive. There’ll be time to share challenges, resources and ideas and – importantly- to share some fun and social time together.
