Rumour has it that Santa was last seen buying carrots for his reindeer in the Market. Can you help us to find him in the maze?
Heckmondwike’s Market Hall will be transformed into a cardboard maze with unexpected art lurking around each corner. With light projections, fun craft activities and live music.
Recommended for families with children 4+
Tickets are £2 per person. Adults must buy tickets. Free entry for children under two years.
The maze is wheelchair accessible but not suitable for prams, buggies and pushchairs. Limited tickets, don’t miss out – book in advance here
HeckmondLIGHT is supported by LUCity. LUCity is a two-year project supported by Creative Europe investigating how involving the public in the creation of light works and installing them in public space affects how people view that place. The project connects local and international artists and offers training in creating light installations for public space to students from Batley School of Art, Brian Jackson college and emerging artists. By working together with 4is, Portugal, Hisa!, Slovenia and Bass Culture, Italy we are able to expand the artists networks, share knowledge of working with light in public space and increase the profile of the community and artists who create HeckmondLIGHT.
