Bands in the Park- Pitanga – Brazilian and Latin American Jazz

We’ve teamed up with Friends of Crow Nest Park and some great musical acts to bring a series of live musical treats to the newly restored Band Stand at Crow Nest Park.

Today’s band is Pitanga – a trio bringing the vibrant rhythms of Brazil and Latin America to the park. They play jazz, bossa nova, choro, samba, forró, flamenco, classical guitar, and more. Composed of Alex Chadha on drums, Jacob Harrison on guitar and Martín Berger on saxophones, they play original arrangements of classical tunes as well as some original compositions. Expect catchy melodies, exciting rhythms and intriguing harmonies, and come ready to move along, dance, clap, sing, or simply enjoy the vibe.

Some chairs will be available however feel free to bring your own or a picnic blanket to set up your own space. Relax and enjoy the music
