Batley Festival

Organisers of this year’s Batley Festival, which takes place in Batley Market Square on Saturday 26 September, are asking for local people to volunteer their help with a variety of different activities in the lead up to what promises to be the biggest and most spectacular festival yet.

For the past three years, Batley has come alive at the end of September with music, theatre, art, market stalls and a host of family friendly entertainment – and it’s all down to a group of hardworking local volunteers.

This year’s festival is set to be the biggest yet with the addition of a spectacular evening activity, details of which are being kept under wraps for now. This means festival organisers are looking for more dedicated people to make it all happen

In particular, Batley Festival is looking for volunteers who may be interested in:

  • Working with schools and young people
  • Supporting marketing (social media, flyering, website)
  • Working with artists
  • Stewarding and welcoming visitors

Without the support of volunteers, events like the Batley Festival can’t continue, so if you’re able to support the festival for any amount of time, please contact the festival committee on or come along to the next Batley Festival meeting at Batley Town Hall on Thursday 18 June, 7-9pm.
