As part of Creative Scene On Tour, Not Too Tame are looking for scripts to be performed as part of TUCKSHOP at various North Kirklees venues between 26 Nov – 1 December 2016.

They are looking for scripts based on the themes of ‘Family’ and ‘Community’. This can be interpreted in any way you like. This could be the traditional family unit, a family of displaced refugees or family of drag queens. It’s your call! With Christmas not too far away, you may want to tie that in with the theme too.

We’d ask that you avoid anything too existential or anything set in a dystopian world.

Scripts should be for between 1-5 actors and anywhere between 2-10 minutes. We are actively looking for a variety of pieces for this pic ‘n’ mix of a night, so encourage you to be creative!

All technical requirements should be kept to a minimum.

Tuckshop runs from Sat 26 November – Thu 1 December at On Tour circuit venues in North Kirklees.

To Apply:  Send your script to by Mon 31 Oct

Successful writers will be notified by Mon 7 Nov

All successful writers will be given 4 free tickets to Tuckshop

Unfortunately, we are not able to give feedback on all scripts submitted due to    lack of resources.

Not Too Tame are an ensemble company of actors who are firmly founded on the belief of ‘Theatre for All’. Focusing specifically in creating work that breaks the boundaries of tame, polite theatre, we aim to engage those who feel that theatre isn’t somewhere that they belong.

With fresh live music, plus mischief, mayhem and bags of retro sweets, Not Too Tame deliver another raucous night to remember.
