‘Making a Scene’ shortlisted for UK Blog Awards 2016

We are delighted to report back that our ‘Making a Scene‘ blog ¬†has been shortlisted as a finalist for the UK Blog Awards 2016 in the arts and cultural category.

The blog, which shares and records the stories and experiences of our SceneMakers (advocates and ambassadors for arts and culture across North Kirklees), has been chosen via a public vote above hundreds of other entries.

Over 2,000 blogs were entered for the Blog Awards and 73,352 public votes registered – so a big thank you if you voted for Making a Scene!

The judges for the Arts and Cultural category are:

Matthew Cock – Matthew is Chief Executive of VocalEyes, an organisation that champions access and inclusion for blind and partially sighted people in arts and heritage. He is the former Head of Web at the British Museum, where he was responsible for the Museum’s online and digital presence.
