FALL IN LOVE WITH MUSIC THIS VALENTINE’S DAY

Matthew's Coffee House Band

This Valentine’s Day, Cleckheaton music-lovers are invited to start a new relationship with music at the brand new Matthew’s Music Club, hosted by much-loved local musician Jacqui Wicks. Taking place at popular local cafĂ© Matthew’s Coffee House, Matthew’s Music Club is part of our Artist@Work programme, matching local businesses with artists to inspire employees and customers.

Jacqui will perform alongside percussionist Ralph Dartford on Saturday 14 February from 10am til 12noon, at a special event to launch Matthew’s Music Club, which is being set up to bring together local people interested in developing skills with a musical instrument or who simply enjoy live music.

Having previously worked with many communities across Yorkshire to get people excited about making their own music, including the Citizens Orchestra in Armley, the White Rose Strummers of Cleckheaton and the Ossett Ukulele Philharmonia, Jacqui and her infectious enthusiasm and passion for music making will now come to Matthew’s Coffee House in Cleckheaton for a 6-week residency.

Following the launch event on Saturday 14 February, drop-in sessions will take place every Thursday and Saturday for six weeks, from Thursday 19 February to Thursday 19 March (10am – 12noon) and are totally free of charge. If you can already play an instrument feel free to bring it along but instruments will also be provided and no previous experience is required.
