ALL ABOARD FOR THE FIRST SHOW FROM NEW FAMILY THEATRE CIRCUIT

A Real Mermaid's Tale

May Half Term will see the first performances from a new family theatre circuit all about bringing exciting, high quality children’s shows to Batley, Dewsbury and Mirfield.

We’re working with Northorpe Hall, Healey Community Centre, Batley Bulldogs RLFC and Thornhill Sports and Community Centre to make sure that everyone can enjoy high quality theatre on their doorstep. Thanks to this new network, children’s entertainment experts Ripstop Theatre, will bring A Real Mermaid’s Tale to the four venues from Monday 24 to Thursday 28 May.

A Real Mermaid’s Tale is an intrepid quest on the high seas, featuring all manner of sea creatures, naughty pirates and magical mermaids. Young audiences are encouraged to join in and help brave explorer Amelia Buttersnap on her hunt for hidden treasure.

With shadow puppetry, magic and jokes galore, this production is the perfect half term treat for adventurous children aged 3+ and their grown-ups too!

All the venues involved want as many people as possible to be able to experience the magic of live theatre and the intention is that this will be the first of a number of productions coming to the area; so keep your eyes peeled for new shows coming up.
